Meet Patrick, founder of That Oracle Guy

I grew up in a household that honored ritual.

A quarter on the stovetop invites abundance. A lemon sealed in plastic wrap wards off negative spirits. Small, deliberate acts like these were woven into my every life growing up.

I always joke that whenever my aunts and uncles came around, it was only a matter of time before the conversation turned to the magical, the paranormal, and the supernatural. It was easy and familiar. Everyone’s favorite topic.

So I grew up understanding that magic was real, that ritual had power, and that the unseen was worth paying attention to.

With that foundation came tarot.

THE JOURNEY

I studied tarot seriously for over a decade before I read for anyone else.

Pulling cards for myself every morning. Reading the meanings, sitting with the archetypes, absorbing the lessons as I moved through my days. Building a relationship with the cards: slowly, consistently, and with deep respect for the craft.

Even in the early stages, I had profound respect for what tarot could offer someone at a crossroads. How grounding it could be. How clarifying. How it had the power to reflect something deeply true the moment you needed to see it.

Then in 2022, my father passed away. And I learned, firsthand, just how much that guidance matters.

The cards really supported me during that time. They helped me self-reflect. To sit with what I was feeling, what I needed, and what was true. Especially when life at the time felt so opaque and uncertain.

My relationship with tarot deepened after that. My craft felt more purposeful, and it became important to me to offer this modality to others. Not just my friends and family, but anyone that was looking for clarity, guidance, and self-reflection.

Tarot can be a healing, empowering, and supportive space in the right hands.

And the decision to create That Oracle Guy (a nod to my love of oracle cards) was easy after that. I was going to use this practice to help people navigate the full range of their experience. To uplift and empower all parts of themselves.

Because I had learned, firsthand, the power these readings can have as a north star in your journey.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

How I approach the space

I practice evolutionary tarot (tarot evolutivo), which is tarot for a person’s personal, emotional, and spiritual growth. As a way to understand your patterns, reconnect with your intuition, and make choices that are genuinely your own.

Every reading I offer is rooted in the belief that the wisdom of tarot is ultimately the wisdom of our own lives. The cards don't tell you what will happen. They reflect what is happening, and illuminate what's possible.

My readings always emphasize:

  • Your personal, spiritual, and emotional growth

  • A safe, welcoming space to be, feel, and move through what's present

  • Grounded, solutions-oriented guidance for your path forward

Patrick’s approach is grounded in a decade of tarot study and psychological certification. He strives to expand his knowledge to he can offer the best possible experience for his clients.
